Dorset COP 2025

On Saturday 1 November 2025 I was at Sturminster Exchange for Dorset COP 2025

Amongst the text are just 3 of many speakers. It was a packed programme and I would have liked to have attended every session. The over riding message I received was that everyone and anyone can make a difference. One small step can begin a tidal wave of action and change.

I found it inspiring.

The welcome session began with the first messages of hope from a film by Jane Goodall, who started with one step, went on to help many primates and ended up offering hope to everyone and a new global movement called Roots and Shoots.

It was nice to see a wide range of age groups among the audience and the speakers.

I am hoping to be able to find copies of the slides used in the talks, not only from those I attended but also those I could not attend.

I am grateful to the organisers. An unbelievable amount of effort went in to organising and running the event.

I am grateful to all the volunteers, who were there to help and to all the speakers, not only for their time and talks but also for their passion and ‘can do’, hope filled messages.

Together we are stronger. Together we can change the world we share.
